This is the Trick of Treat Letter for Labocat on AO3 - thank you so much for signing up and I hope we matched on something you're excited about!

General things! This is just broad-view stuff; I'll note where applicable in specific sections if canons/ships can ignore something. Please feel free to apply any of the general section as prompts to any of the fandoms and characters requested if they spark inspiration for you!

In General: I’m really happy with anything! And by anything, I really do mean just about anything; it’s hard to find something that I absolutely don’t like hard stop. I'm good with all ratings, and as this is a more lax exchange, please feel free to mix up styles or try something new! Changing PoV of the same situation? Snapshot scenes? Epistolary? Are all amazing, so please feel free to experiment if that's where the mood takes you!

I love the idea of tricks and treats: I really love hurt/comfort and have kind of selected fandoms that weave darker events or topics in with lighter moments and sweet character interactions but also have great hurt/comfort possibilities (or just hurt in some cases, which is absolutely fine!). Please feel free to go wherever your heart takes you on these; they're all fandoms I'd be absolutely great with either end of the spectrum.

Smut likes: I really enjoy size difference, blindfolds, light bondage, orgasm denial/delay, sex pollen or aphrodisiacs, messy/sloppy sex, desperate sex, intercrual, oral, semi-public sex (like in a closet or alley), praise kink, service kink, sensory deprivation, breathplay, toys (especially hidden plugs/vibes), marking/possessiveness, overstimulation, body worship, slow, drawn-out sex that can really tie in with the aforementioned body worship, or awkward first times.

The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System:
Zhuzhi-lang


I love this book so much, from the absolute "anything works if I say it does" style of worldbuilding thanks to Airplane to the opening of infinite possibilities with each change made to the storyline, it's such a good playground for any trope you want to throw the characters in! I would prefer they stay in the book setting, but canon divergences or any other AU that can be done without changing the setting is more than welcome.

- Zhuzhi-lang: This poor snake boy is doing his best and it's hardly his fault he's so sheltered that everyone he interacts with gives him unrealistic expectations for romantic interactions. Literally anything you want to do here is great. I love how ready he is to dedicate himself to anyone he deems worthy and the potential for split loyalties and how he has to deal with that. I'd love anything, for real; interactions with any character, his first shed, does /he/ get reincarnated at some point, does Shen Qingqiu find some way to make him the jelly snack? I'm here for it!

Idolish7:
Kujou Tenn, Nikaido Yamato, Yuki

CRIES ABOUT IDOLS. This has been a long-simmering fandom in the background that has finally broken through. I just love that the series manages to balance all of these different characters and aspirations as well as throwing in some really wonderful thoughts on both group interactions and the importance of goals and creativity and what people will do to fulfill that. Please feel free to use any of the boys for this! I love them all, and would be thrilled to bits with an ensemble piece - maybe they run a haunted house! Riku being able to see ghosts and Tenn just GOING WITH IT is something I think about constantly. I am also 100% here for any AU based on cards or performances.

-Kujou Tenn: WHERE DO I EVEN START. His balance between his perfectionist nature and his angelic public persona and the way he really wants to connect with Riku but feels so far away from him now just UGH. MY HEART. I love his interactions with every single character, from Riku (please take this however you want, either brotherly or shippy - Tenn letting Riku use him as a pillow when sick is also just. MY HEART.) to mentoring the rest of i7 to the various ways that TRIGGER has become a family, to even Kujou and Aya and Haruka, I'm here for it all. Shopping trip shenanigans? Haunted house?

- Nikaido Yamato: I'll be honest, I pulled the Tenn and Yamato anniversary card and now desperately want that weird trip to the arctic circle with sled dogs. I don't even care how it happens. But I really love Yamato, endlessly trying to be a buffer and somehow realizing just how much he loves being an idol and everyone he's met and how much he wants to support them (and then yet still tries to downplay it all). It's okay Yama, I too also always just want to crack open a beer and just watch everything play out. I also love the how well he acts and can get into roles and how that line can blur. I love him just big-bro-ing everyone but also getting to cut loose with the Pythagoras idiots, and also just the ossan drinking combo - I would 100% be here for an izakaya bonding session.

- Yuki: Yuki is so weird and so abrasive but will absolutely ride or die for what he wants to do and his issue is just figuring out how to achieve what he wants to do in an actually achievable way. Tbh, everything about Re:Vale gets me, but mostly Yuki's dichotomy of being able to tell Momo that he's the only partner for him in the entire universe and never wants to be separated from him in front of basically everyone and being completely unable to comfort literally anyone. Again, literally anything here, from the five years of Momo and Yuki becoming the Re:Vale we know and the subsequent realization in that first year that Yuki would do anything for Momo, to the interim when Momo was convincing him to sing again, to finding Banri once more, I am /here/ for it.

Tokyo Revengers:
Baji Keisuke, Matsuno Chifuyu

So I did not expect to fall this hard for a series about middle school delinquents? But here I am, an absolute mess over Baji and Chifuyu. I am anime-only and have requested the anime as such, so please no knowledge from the manga.

That said, I would love absolutely anything here as well, from any of the timelines we've seen in the anime; I'm totally fine with taking any of the ones that have already been changed down a canon divergence path if you want to make it hurt! Baji haunting Chifuyu, maybe literally, their early days as the First division, Chifuyu helping Baji study, or even either of their perspectives during the time that Baji went to Valhalla. I love both of their adherence to their beliefs and desire to keep everyone on a path of camaraderie instead of the one of betrayal that Toman keeps being led down.



The Green Knight:
Gawain/Green Knight

What a beautiful, atmospheric movie with an absolute failboat of a main character. I love that EVERY single named character in the movie cradles Gawain's face at some point in time, there's just something about him that invokes this! That said, I think there's just so much potential for Gawain and the Green Knight -- GAWAIN, BUDDY. You get told whatever you do to the Green Knight will be returned, and you go for decapitation??? No kissing with biting, no sexual favors, nothing? NO IMAGINATION. I am here for any sort of alternate first meeting you want, or even at the end, if gawain sticks around with the Green Knight for longer. Ooh, or plant-based body horror with the long waiting periods in the green chapel and the vines. I'm here for psychological manipulation, vines, basically anything that you want to do with them I'll love!



Genshin Impact:
Raiden Shogun, Azhdaha/Zhongli

This character selection is mostly focusing on the concept of erosion and memory and changes and the challenges of having to pass so many years and retain some sense of self and the things that are given up or clung to in that process because the bits we got to see were FASCINATING

- Raiden Shogun: There's so much good potential here between Ei and Makoto and the Shogun and the balance of personalities and how that weaves into eternity, as well as the balance between eternity and progress. The way Ei clings to the ghosts of her past, the concept of eternity as a way to keep them alive and not lose anyone else. Haunted by the ghosts of her past, literal or not? What were things like in the old days? Conversations between her and any of the other archons? Between Yae Miko or the Traveler about how things have changed? Celebrating festivals in Inazuma? Hell yeah let's go

- Azhdaha/Zhongli: Mmm yes that balance of loyalty and obligation against free will and blame for how things turned out, the fear of erosion, especially at seeing such an example -- Azhdaha wanting to use himself as an example to keep Zhongli from falling to the same fate? -- and Zhongli's constant longing for companions who remember the old days and have seen so much change as well, it's just all so alluring. Conversations, fucking instead of talking, reminiscence, especially around festivals, the body horror of erosion.../chef's kiss


Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku:
Owen, Murr

There's so much good here to exploit for tricks and treats! Promises gone wrong, magical creatures, all sorts of types of festivals, all sorts of types of magic, wizards tuning into mana stones!

- Owen: I am SO into everything about him, his hiding his own insecurities by picking at everyone else's, his hiding away his soul so that he can be killed over and over and still come back, keeping cerberus in his suitcase, his way with animals, living in a haunted forest, plucking out Cain's eye for ?????? REASONS, balanced by his love of candy. I bet if the sage told him about Halloween, he'd be very into it - costumes, scaring people, and getting candy on top of it all!

- Murr: Likewise, I am just fascinated by this mansplaining redditor wizard turned cat and how he just shattered his soul by falling in love with the moon. Whether you want to do philosopher Murr or current Murr I am so good with it. Coming up with inventions, a Murr-style shenanigan, his entire Thing with Shylock, whatever you'd like!


Mistakenly Saving the Villain:
Song Qingshi

Song Qingshi is just trying SO hard, in everything that he does, whether it be medicine, being studious, or making Yue Wuhuan happy (and everything that entails). I love that he thinks he's the top in this relationship, but he's just so earnest. Again, trying to bring in modern concepts of Halloween to this world, or any of the other "small worlds', any of the world attempts. Or his thoughts or dates with Yue Wuhuan and his thoughts on all of the things they try in bed!
