This is the Trick of Treat Letter for Labocat on AO3 - thank you so much for signing up and I hope we matched on something you're excited about!
General things! This is just broad-view stuff; I'll note where applicable in specific sections if canons/ships can ignore something.
In General: I’m really happy with anything! And by anything, I really do mean just about anything; it’s hard to find something that I absolutely don’t like hard stop. I'm good with all ratings, and as this is a more lax exchange, please feel free to mix up styles! Changing PoV of the same situation? Snapshot scenes? Epistolary? Are all amazing, so please feel free to experiment if that's where the mood takes you!
I love the idea of tricks and treats: I really love hurt/comfort and have kind of selected fandoms that weave darker events or topics in with lighter moments and sweet character interactions but also have great hurt/comfort possibilities (or just hurt in some cases, which is absolutely fine!). Please feel free to go wherever your heart takes you on these; they're all fandoms I'd be absolutely great with either end of the spectrum.
I really like:
- I’m a huge sucker for domesticity/established relationship as well as found family (though the friends to lovers trope is well-loved for a reason!)
- A few tropes/tags I really like, in no particular order: accidental confessions, magical girls (yes, even with male characters), fake dating leading to real dating, “we’ve totally been dating for years and didn’t realize it until now”, road trips/general traveling together, reincarnation,
Things I’d really rather not see for this exchange: Serious issues not already present in canon (suicidal thoughts, abusive family/relationships, homophobia/transphobia, self-harm, political stands, etc.), characters using non-canonical pronouns, pregnancy/kids.
Really Optional Details That Are Entirely Optional (okay let’s just call them kinks): If you wanted to go a M/E route, and are comfortable writing any of the following, I really enjoy size difference, blindfolds, orgasm denial, messy/sloppy sex, intercrual, oral, semi-public sex (like in a closet or alley), sensory deprivation, breathplay, toys (especially hidden vibes with the other party keeping the remote in public), marking/possessiveness, body worship, slow, drawn-out sex that can really tie in with the aforementioned body worship. Though I do love some tooth-rottingly sweet loving sex, especially for established relationships or goofy first times that don’t go quite as planned! I also like a lot of things that generally have to be requested and that most people aren’t comfortable with so they are Really Optional and listed more here on the off chance that somehow they pick your fancy too and you’ve been waiting for someone to give the okay on them: vore/gore, especially if the recipient can heal quickly, dubcon, tentacles, a/b/o more in the sense of social structure and desperation for sex than the mpreg and anal slick - unexpected omegas who are trying to hide it is really fun!, bloodplay, threesomes/moresomes, double penetration, and collars.

It was a struggle not to just request "Any" because I'd honestly be on board with everyone showing up, so please don't take their absence from my request to mean I don't want to see anyone else. Mostly it would have taken me forever to write up this section if I had requested everyone. Restraint is not my strong suit.
I love these kids in space and their learning how to deal with being in space so much. There's so much unexplained in terms of the Galra that I think would be fascinating to explore and see more of!
Prompt ideas:
-Something from early in the Kerberos mission for Matt and Shiro as a treat or during their captivity for a trick.
- Haggar experimenting on Shiro, possibly with Zarkon gaslighting Shiro or Sendak doing so later on
- Sendak's voice never really leaving Shiro even after he gets ejected into space
- A day in the life in the Galra Empire
- Pidge and Shiro bonding over memories of Matt, or Shiro being used as bait to trap Pidge again.
Fate/
Requested characters: Karna, Arjuna, Medb, Cu, Semiramis, Kotomine Shirou
Falling kind of into distinct pairs, with the exception of Cu, so prompts will focus kind of on those pairs.
Prompt ideas:
Karna and Arjuna - Does Karna ever think about Arjuna during the events of EXTRA CCC? Maybe one is summoned before the other in Chaldea - thoughts before and after the other shows up? AU based on any of the CE cards would be fantastic.
Medb and Cu - Grail mud drinking. Medb doing what she wants and Cu either trying to talk her out of it or very snarkily going along with it.
Semiramis and Shirou - GOSH just like any quiet moments with them just getting to relax together.
Shades of Magic
Requested characters: Holland, Kell, Rhy, Alucard, the Dane twins
Bloodplay, soulbonds, and coveted magic! Leaning more heavily towards tricks than treats, but!
Prompt ideas:
- The story of the Dane's rise to power and subjugation of Holland (if you wanted to go deeper, possibly playing off of the "no one submits as beautifully as you" line)
- Holland and Rhy - if and how it started and how it proceeded and how they kept it secret from Kell
- Kell and Rhy - any sort of snapshot of their lives and relationship (whether or not you want to go romantic is entirely up to you!); early on would be great to see - did Rhy ever suspect how much more Kell was doing on each visit? What was it like when Kell first came to the palace?
- Rhy and Alucard - Anything from their relationship - how did it first start and proceed? Did they ever think of the other during their years apart? Especially given how they had to part
- Kell and Holland - the last two Antari and holding such different roles in their Londons.
I'd love to see any of them on their own dealing with any of the events of canon or thinking about their role with the setup of magic and the Londons. Really I would just love to see anything for this canon, so I'm super vague.
Wynonna Earp
Requested characters: Wynonna, Waverly, Nicole, Dolls, Doc
Another where the exclusion of characters was more for the sake of prompt-writing sanity than a desire not to see them. Please feel free to include any and everyone else as you see fit!
I feel like this canon lends itself really well to tricks. Mystery of the black badge division and Dolls' secret! This time of year, it's flu season and maybe someone gets sick and despite knowing better, Doc has bad flackbacks to having consumption.
Maybe something with the formal sit-down initiating Nicole into all the Earp weirdness (with a side order of "and now we're going to go rescue Dolls)! I like how both Waverly and Nicole are confident and hesitant about the relationship in different ways; they have a good balance, and both of them bring a lot to the relationship and the series.
On the more treat side, maybe further introducing Doc to all of the modern conveniences (and him picking them up really quickly or just not seeing the point at all).
Whyborne & Griffin
Requested characters: Everyone
This is like the ultimate Trick or Treat fandom for me
Prompt ideas: Halloween is Whyborne and Persephone's birthday! Celebration, Widdershins or ketoi style, with all the ????? from those unfamiliar with the traditions as necessary. This could absolutely go either a trick or a treat and that's part of what I love about this series - it has the potential to be really dark and creepy at times but also pulls out moments of charm and sweetness.
Charm of Magpies
Requested characters: Ned Hall, Crispin Tredarloe
Another one with a good mix of potential to be really creepy and dark but also have spots of lightness and charm.
Prompt ideas: Ned getting used to having his hearing talent increased - his having a hearing talent when Crispin is absolutely lacking in magical hearing is like my kryptonite in terms of partners both on the crime-solving side and romantic side, but the fact that Ned is still unsure about being included in their world is just a great opportunity for both hurt/comfort or Crispin showing him some more of the really useful, nice side of magic. Or maybe their first run as justiciary! Case fic would be so neat, especially since they're so very on the outskirts of the justiciary - I love the fact that they were taken on specifically to give a different point of view from everyone else.
